IMS is the International Meat Secretariat. It brings together meat and livestock organizations throughout the world, in a single non-profit making association. IMS provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences on issues affecting the international meat and livestock sector. As a representative organization for the industry, it maintains regular contacts with other international and intergovernmental bodies with responsibilities in this area, including the World Trade Organization, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, the OECD, the World Organisation for Animal Health, and the Commission of the European Union.

Paris Meat Congress is a French company which organizes events for the meat sector, including the 2012 Paris congress. It was established by two non-profit bodies: INAPORC, the French national pork federation, and INTERBEV, the country’s livestock and meat association, to promote sales of the industry’s products, including livestock, beef, lamb, horsemeat, pork, veal, and prepared meat products. The two associations are officially recognized by the French government as representing the industry.
